Service Agreement & Liability Terms

  • Camera and surveillance system setup 

Services may be performed on-site or remotely, depending on the nature of the request.

2. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your systems 
  • Maintain proper backups of all important data 
  • Ensure authorized access to equipment and systems 
  • Not request services that violate any laws or regulations 

Important: You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data.

3. Data Backup & Loss Disclaimer

While we take reasonable care in performing services:

  • Get-A-Tek is not responsible for data loss, corruption, or system failure 
  • Repairs, updates, or troubleshooting may result in unintended data loss 
  • Clients are strongly advised to back up all data prior to service 

By using our services, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

4. Remote Access Authorization

By requesting remote support, you:

  • Grant permission for Get-A-Tek to access your system 
  • Acknowledge that we may view files or settings necessary to resolve issues 
  • Understand that you can terminate remote access at any time 

We will only access information necessary to perform the requested service.

5. Payment Terms

  • Services may be billed hourly, flat-rate, or under a service contract 
  • Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing 
  • Late payments may result in suspension of services 

6. No Warranty

All services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee that:

  • Issues will be completely resolved 
  • Systems will operate without interruption 
  • All problems can be diagnosed or fixed 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Get-A-Tek shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including: 
    • Loss of data 
    • Loss of business or revenue 
    • System downtime 
    • Security breaches not caused by gross negligence 
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service provided. 

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Get-A-Tek from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from:

  • Misuse of services 
  • Failure to maintain backups 
  • Unauthorized system use 

9. Service Refusal

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if:

  • There is suspected illegal activity 
  • The environment is unsafe 
  • The client violates this Agreement 

10. Changes to Terms

We may update this Agreement at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.
